After law school, Douglas began working as a criminal defense attorney in Baltimore. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the best defense lawyers in the city. In addition to his private practice, Douglas also served as a public defender for many years. He represented many clients who were unable to afford a private lawyer. Douglas was known for his dedication to his clients and his ability to get them acquitted even when the evidence against them seemed strong.
Douglas Wright was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Linda, their two children Sarah and David, and four grandchildren.
